A lifeguard's job is to watch the water on purpose, the whole time, not in the glances everyone else at a pool naturally gives it. That takes training: scanning in a deliberate pattern built to catch a slip at the pool edge or a stroke starting to go wrong at the first sign of it, not the last. A parent watching their own child, or a swimmer mid-lap, cannot do that. A trained lifeguard's only job is that one thing, done properly.

Where we put lifeguards

Condo & HDB pools

Pool cover for condo facilities and HDB pools, sized to your bather load and operating hours. Standing schedule, regular shift coverage, holiday relief.

Schools & tuition pools

Lifeguard cover for school swimming lessons, swim team training, gala events and tuition centre pools. Trained for the supervision of children in the water.

Hotels & resorts

Pool cover for hotel and resort facilities. Day shifts, evening shifts, weekend cover, full-time placements depending on what your operations require.

Swim events & galas

Event lifeguard cover for swim meets, open water races, school galas and any organised swim activity that needs trained supervision on deck.

Beach & open water

Open water lifeguard cover for events on Singapore beaches, sea-front activities and triathlon swim legs. Different from pool cover, scoped accordingly.

Holiday & sick relief

Cover for your existing lifeguard team when they are on leave or out sick. Same standards, different shift, no gap in your coverage.

What a dedicated lifeguard adds to a supervised pool

Parental supervision is necessary but it is not the same as lifeguarding. Parents at the pool are watching their own children, which is a different job from watching the whole pool continuously. Pool users themselves are in the water and cannot watch others. A trained lifeguard is on the deck doing one job only, scanning the water in a deliberate pattern, trained to spot trouble and reach a swimmer within seconds.

That is the gap a dedicated lifeguard fills: a trained responder whose only job is the water, at venues that would otherwise be relying on general supervision alone.

What is included as standard

  • Certified lifeguards trained for the venue type they are deployed to (pool, open water, child-supervision settings)
  • Active surveillance with deliberate scanning patterns, not casual watching
  • First aid response capability: every lifeguard is trained in first aid, CPR and AED use
  • Pre-shift checks on water condition, equipment and safety gear
  • Incident logging and reporting to venue management
  • Coordination with the venue on operations, rules enforcement and any pool-specific protocols
  • Backup escalation to ambulance and paramedic services when an incident requires more than first aid

How to book

  1. Tell us about the venue. Pool size, bather load, operating hours, location, any specific concerns.
  2. We come back with a recommendation. Number of lifeguards, shift pattern, cost.
  3. You confirm. We schedule the team.
  4. Lifeguards arrive on shift. Trained, certified, ready to watch your water.

FAQs

Lifeguard service questions

Yes. Every lifeguard sent to your venue holds the relevant certification for the role they are doing. Pool lifeguards are pool-trained. Open water lifeguards have open water qualifications. Lifeguards working in venues with children have the appropriate background and training. Every lifeguard on the deck is trained and certified for that role.
It depends on the pool size, the bather load, the operating hours and any specific risk factors (children, deep end, slides, water features). For a typical condo pool that points to one trained lifeguard on duty during operating hours. For schools and hotels with higher loads, more than one. Tell us the venue details when you submit a quote enquiry and we will recommend the right cover.
For ad-hoc cover (sick relief, last-minute event need) availability depends on the day. We will tell you honestly whether we can cover it when you submit the quote. For pre-booked schedules and standing arrangements we are much more flexible.
Active surveillance is the main job, eyes on the water, ready to act in seconds if something happens. Beyond that, lifeguards perform pre-shift water and equipment checks, enforce pool rules, manage incidents (slips, minor injuries, medical events), administer first aid, coordinate with the venue management on pool operations, and maintain incident logs.
Yes. Open water lifeguarding is a different qualification and a different operational picture from pool work, and the crews deployed are trained for the specific environment. For beach events, sea-front activities and triathlon swim legs we put open water trained lifeguards on duty.
Pricing is per shift, scaled to the venue, the duration and the team size required. For standing arrangements at condos and schools, monthly pricing is more practical. For one-off event cover, per-event quotes. Tell us what you need and we will come back with a price scoped to your job.
